Huang Saifeng’s solo exhibition "INFINITY" opens on the 7th of September, 2024. The exhibition comprises a sellection of the artist’s oil works on canvas created over the past two years. The exhibition is expected to end on the 20th of October. This is Huang Saifeng’s third solo exhibition at the gallery after “Paradoxical Space" (2019) and “Space Beyond” (2022).

Huang Safeng’s creation in the past two years is based on the theme of "nothingness", in which everything in the works is manifested in the void, so that color and virtual shadow are interwoven and superimposed, forming the invisible space image of virtual landscape, and making it in the endless generation of hazy poetry. From the illustration, it seems to be interpreting space, but it is actually manifesting the mind. This kind of void environment allows the picture to maintain the possibility of breath flow, forming a vivid intuitive feeling that everything in heaven and earth is endless, and the atmosphere is vivid, so that the void is not empty, and the vacuum is wonderful. His painting method draws on the traditional painting in the layer by layer, the painting process itself also carries a certain time. This time is eventually sealed by the picture image similar to the amber texture, which can only be seen in the flow marks on the side of the frame.

Huang Saifeng was born in Shanghai in 1983. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts Education of the School of Fine Arts of Shanghai Normal University in 2003; and graduated from the Department of Stage Art of Shanghai Drama Academy in 2014 with a major in oil painting; and now lives and works in Shanghai.
