Huang Safeng’s new work is the internal folding on a pure thin two-dimensional plane, seemingly flat, but opened the depth, but also let the color block to keep thin and transparent changes, showing a hazy poetic, sharp is also hidden in it, the color frame is interwoven in the flicker, surrounded by an atmosphere. This is the aesthetics of the atmosphere, with a hazy atmosphere to dissolve the hardness of the border, into the hazy state of breathing, open a warm space of light and shadow games, it seems that light and shadow burn inside, issuing an internal scorching. In the seemingly hazy atmosphere, there are the oscillations of framed color blocks and lines, which seem to be overall hazy, but there is no lack of local subtle oscillations. The color blocks cut space in a tilt, creating a rotation in an irregular superposition. Everything is still to maintain a sense of flat, to keep thin empty.
Huang Saifeng was born in Shanghai in 1983. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts Education of the School of Fine Arts of Shanghai Normal University in 2003; and graduated from the Department of Stage Art of Shanghai Drama Academy in 2014 with a major in oil painting; and now lives and works in Shanghai.
