Su Xiangpan’s painting takes abstract colours and colour blocks as the main language, and creates his own logic in the structure of colour blocks and backgrounds. The combination of colours and the sudden intervention of foreign graphics make aesthetic experience breed in pure colour and calligraphy-like modelling structures, reflecting the harmonious aesthetics of colours and the surprise and poeticity of pictures.
Su Xiangpan was born in Guigang, Guangxi in 1984. In 2010, he graduated from the Mural Department of the China Academy of Fine Arts with a Bachelor’s Degree; and in 2014, he graduated from the Department of Mural Painting of the China Academy of Fine Arts with a Master’s Degree. He now lives and works in Wuhan, Hubei Province.
